Delivery of your storage building is an effortless process – and even better, we offer FREE delivery within 50 miles and include standard leveling kits.

Regardless of the building being a custom order or off our lot, Sheds Direct will contact you to schedule a delivery date and time when your building is ready to be delivered, so there is no need for you to call us to set up delivery. The day of the delivery, your assigned driver will call you when they are en route.

Proper site preparation is an important part of your investment in a building. The buildings are designed to rest on their runners. However, to ensure the building is perfectly level, we advise that you have a gravel or concrete pad. If you do not have a gravel or concrete pad, please ask about purchasing a block package.

Block site preparation has become common to the storage building industry. Ideally your site should be no more than 8” off of level for the block site prep to be installed by your delivery driver. 2” or 4” thick concrete blocks are placed on the ground starting on the uphill side of the building, then leveled from there. Blocks are placed approximately every 6’ under every 4×4 runner. Shims and treated wedges are used when needed. The mule (machine similar to a forklift specifically used for storage buildings) will usually be used to set your buildings on block. A 6’ area on each end of the building is needed to maneuver the building. 

It is very important that you, as the customer, know where you want the building before it is delivered. A large truck and trailer will be coming to your home to deliver your building. Please have a clear path for access approximately 2’ wider than the building you purchased and 14’ high.(i.e. If you purchased a 10x16 you would need a clear path at least 12’ wide and 14’ high for delivery.) Be sure to take any tree branches, stumps, and utility wires into consideration.
